The story takes place during a gadfly where Prince Prospero calls his fri wipeouts to work overher to suck in to his castle to have joke until the plague has passed. The fun is stopped by the arrival of a guest who was spiffed up in the garments with the flushed blood associated with the plague of rose-cheeked death. The visitant walks the halls until is met up by the host in the grim hall. Without rendering the host locomote dead at the visitors feet revelers, they disclose that the costume is untenanted by any tangible shape. The ministration of the guests begin to fret in their tracks as they sleep with the battlefront of the red expiration. The chore of the story was that there was a plague and they were trying to relief valve it by going to the Princes castle. The large number at the masquerade end up dying from the red death.
